Srimangal (Moulvibazar) Correspondent //

A political party is needed to protect the rights of the July movement. This was said by the National Citizen Committee’s joint convener, writer and thinker ‘Sarwar Tushar’, at a meeting of the people of the country with the National Citizen Committee in Srimangal, Moulvibazar. He also said that instead of seeking justice for the disappearances, murders and torture of BNP leaders, they should be busy with the elections and be ashamed.

The speakers also said that extortion is happening right under the nose of the police, the police are trading with the cases, fake cases have been registered in the names of journalists in Srimangal, a partisan leader wants to become the president of the Srimangal Press Club. That leader wants to become the president on an empty field by using fake cases to drive away journalists. The administration should take this seriously.

Addressing Prashan, he said, if you do not end this quickly, you will face the wrath of the people.

The meeting, held at the Srimangal Municipality Auditorium on Sunday night under the chairmanship of National Citizens Committee Central Organizer Pritam Das, was also addressed by the executive committee members of the Citizens Committee, Alauddin Mohammad, Tajnuva Jabin, Sheikh Tasanim Afroz Imi, Sadia Farzana Dina.

Deputy Supreme Leader Baruna Madrasa Srimangal Maulana Sheikh Noor-e Alam Hamidi, Principal of Srimangal Sirajnagar Fazil Degree Madrasa Maulana Mufti Sheikh Shibbir Ahmed and President of Srimangal Secondary Teachers Association Jhalak Chakraborty.

He also said that the Awami League has oppressed many BNP leaders and activists. Many leaders and activists have given their lives. Now they are talking about elections without seeking justice for the party leaders and activists. Keep a cool head, Dr. Yunus has talked about elections in December or June 26. At that time, he said that Dr. Addressing Yunus, he further said, the July declaration should be issued quickly. If Dr. Yunus delays this, we will be forced to protest against it. At that time, Sheikh Tasanim Afroz Imi, the leader of the National Citizens’ Committee, said, “We have seen that a liberation war government had become oppressive for its own interests, and you have also seen their transformation in the July Revolution. The fact that there has been a change now does not mean that you will become like them in taking revenge. Then there is no change between you and them.”

Tajnuva Jabin, another central leader of the National Citizens’ Committee, said to the people of the country, “You continue to support us. We will give the country something good. You have seen that in these past few days, the major parties of the ten have raised the demand for another caretaker government. However, two days ago, they had also wanted elections in July-August. This interim government will hold elections that are fair. Please be patient.

Alauddin Mohammad, another central member of the National Citizens Committee, said that the Citizens Committee was created to get the people’s due accounts. We are working towards that goal. Sadia Farzana Dina, another central leader of the National Citizens Committee, said, “Do you want to hand over a new Bangladesh to those who smuggle the state’s wealth to other countries? Even if this is allowed to happen, it is a gourd. Then how will the aspirations of the July Movement be implemented?”

In the president’s speech, Pritam Das said, “We do not want the politics of revenge. We want a beautiful Bangladesh of the future. We are working towards that goal so that all the people of this country can live well. Remember, we have come to speak for the people by crossing the ocean of blood through a mass movement. And we have to implement it. If I have to go to jail again, I will go, if I have to give blood, I will give it.”
