The Youth Kabaddi Under-18 (Boys/Girls) Tournament has been inaugurated in Moulvibazar.

On Saturday (February 8) morning, the tournament was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Md. Israil Hossain at the Police Lines Ground on the occasion of the Youth Festival 2025 organized by Moulvibazar District Police.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony presided over by District Police Superintendent M, K, H, Jahangir Hossain PPM- SEBA, Deputy Commissioner Md. Israil Hossain said, ‘To change the country and the world, we must first change ourselves. It is possible to build a prosperous country and a prosperous world only through positive changes in our own character.

Speaking as the president, Superintendent of Police M, K, H, Jahangir Hossain PPM said, this Kabaddi game is organized as part of the nationwide youth festival. Our national game is Kabaddi. I hope that one day you will represent our country and bring good fame to the country. If you young people are on the right path, this country will move forward in the right direction.

In this tournament organized by the District Police with the overall support of the Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Sunamganj, Sylhet, Feni, Netrokona and Brahmanbaria districts are participating in the boys’ category and Moulvibazar, Sunamganj, Habiganj, Sylhet and Brahmanbaria districts are participating in the girls’ category. The final match of the tournament will be held tomorrow.

Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Shamsul Haque, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Ajmal Hossain, District Sports Officer Md. Mazharul Majid and others were also present at the opening ceremony.
