Moulvibazar, Staff Reporter //

Daily Rupali Bangladesh Moulvibazar’s own reporter and member of Moulvibazar Press Club, Md. Shahjahan Mia, was seriously injured by miscreants.

The incident took place at around 9:30 pm on Tuesday, March 18, inside the ablution room of the 250-bed Sadar Hospital Jame Mosque in Moulvibazar. Later, locals rescued him and admitted him to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital.

Eyewitnesses said that after Tarawih prayers from the hospital Jame Mosque, journalist Shahjahan left and went to the ablution room next door. The ablution room is blocked with iron grills on all sides. There is only an entrance gate on the east side. After entering the ablution room, 8-10 teenagers and young men who were drinking entered behind him. At that time, the miscreants attacked journalist Shahjahan after seeing the picture on his mobile phone. When people came to hear Shahjahan’s screams, the miscreants fled. He was rescued in a seriously injured condition and admitted to a nearby hospital. However, all the attackers were wearing masks. However, the reason for the attack could not be confirmed.

In this regard, Moulvibazar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge OC Gazi Md. Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter and told The Daily Morning Sun that we went to the hospital and saw them. The police are working to identify those involved in the incident.
