A rally and discussion meeting were held in Jaintapur, Sylhet, to celebrate the National and International Sports Day.
A rally was held from the Jaintapur Upazila Parishad premises at around 11 am on Sunday (April 6) to celebrate the day. The rally started from the Upazila Parishad premises, circled the main roads and ended in front of the auditorium.
Later, a discussion meeting was held on the occasion of National International Sports Day-2025. Keeping in mind the theme of “Youth Participation, Quality Improvement in Sports”, Jaintapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer George Mitra Chakma presided over the discussion meeting.
Also present at the discussion meeting were Jaintapur Upazila Youth Development Officer Saiful Islam, Assistant Education Officer Mohammad Julhas, Assistant Programmer Abdullah Al Mamun, Upazila Ansar and VDP (TI) Happy Rani Sarkar, Jaintapur Press Club President Nurul Islam and members of youth and sports organizations from various unions of the upazila.
Jaintapur Upazila Youth Development Officer Saiful Islam presented the main article on the occasion of National and International Sports Day-2025 at the discussion meeting. During this, members of various sports organizations of the upazila presented their various statements on sports.
In the president’s speech, George Mitra Chakma said that sports are one of the means of strengthening and organizing the youth society. He said that all kinds of development work is being done for the development of the sports sector taken by the government. In continuation of this, all kinds of steps are being taken for the overall development of sports organizations in Jaintapur Upazila.
