A rural doctor has died after being hit by a train in Srimangal, Moulvibazar. The deceased rural doctor is Dinesh Chandra Sarkar. He is the son of the late Yogesh Chandra Sarkar of Barikona village in Barahat, Moulvibazar Sadar Upazila.
Dinesh Chandra Sarkar was seriously injured after being hit by a Chittagong-bound Paharika Express train in the outer signal area of Srimangal Railway Station on Saturday afternoon. Later, the Srimangal Fire Service took the person to the Srimangal Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
The matter was confirmed by Srimangal Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Moudud Hawlader.
