The Babul Roy Memorial Football Tournament Final Game was held in Srimangal, Moulvibazar. Chunarughat Lalchan Cha-Bagan Team won the game by defeating Srimangal Bharaura Cha-Bagan FC Team 2-1.
On Friday (July 11) at 4 pm, Chunarughat Lalchan Cha-Bagan and Srimangal Bharaura Cha-Bagan FC faced each other in the final game at the Bharaura Cha-Bagan field of the upazila.
In this extremely exciting match in the presence of thousands of spectators, Lalchan Cha-Bagan won by defeating Bharaura Cha-Bagan FC by a margin of 2-1.
At the end of the game, Finlay Tea Company Convener Chief Operating Officer Tahsin A. Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony between the players of the winning team and the runners-up team.
The event was presided over by the tournament management committee president Bijoy Hazra.
The special guests present were Golam Mohammad Shibli, manager of the Baraura Tea Garden, Prem Sagar Hazra, former vice chairman of the Upazila Parishad, Md. Sher Ali Helal Chowdhury, proprietor of Sakhina CNG and LPG Auto Gas Station.
Also present were former footballers Milan Dasgupta, Piyush Dutta, Altaf Hossain Murshed, Kazi Zayed Ahmed Moni, former upazila vice chairman Prem Sagar Hazra, president of the Moulvibazar Referee Association Mahmudur Rahman, vice president of the Bangladesh Tea Workers Union Pankaj Kanda, general secretary Nipen Pal, treasurer Paresh Kalindi, and others.
