BNP to provide jobs for 10 million unemployed youth: Mirza Fakhrul

Thakurgaon Correspondent //

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that BNP will provide jobs for 10 million unemployed youth within one and a half years of coming to power.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at an election roadshow organized at Kismat Daulatpur Dakhil Madrasa and Eidgah ground in Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila on Wednesday (February 4) afternoon.

Highlighting BNP’s promise of employment, development of the country and elimination of unemployment, the party’s Secretary General said that if BNP is elected, agriculture-based industries and factories will be established in the country. Special technical training will be arranged for the youth.

Mirza Fakhrul said that BNP always believes in work and action, not in theoretical criticism. Today, a party has come before you that you have never seen before. Now they have come to do politics. They will do politics, but please do not lie in front of the people.

Criticizing the misuse of religious sentiments, Mirza Fakhrul said, “One party is deceiving people by talking about Islam. They are misleading their mothers and sisters by saying that they will get paradise by voting on the scales. No real Muslim can believe this. Getting paradise or not depends on people’s deeds and good deeds, not on voting on a particular mark.

At this time, he quoted Charmonai Pir and said that Jamaat-e-Islami is not a real Islamic party.

Regarding the past torture and elections, Mirza Fakhrul said, “117 false cases were filed against me, I served three and a half years in prison. Our leader Begum Khaleda Zia served 10 years in prison. In the last few years, 20,000 of our leaders and activists have been killed.”

He also said that the current interim government will hand over power to the elected government through fair elections. For that purpose, he called on BNP to win by voting on the paddy field on February 12.

The BNP Secretary General said that every citizen will be given a family card and a special card for farmers, fertilizer, seeds, oil and agricultural products will be ensured at fair prices, farmers will be given a loan waiver of up to 10,000 taka, and the government will take responsibility for the installments of NGO loans for marginalized women.

At this time, a teenager gifted a clay bank with the money he had saved to Fakhrul.

General voters, including leaders and activists of various levels of district, upazila and ward BNP, were present at this election roadshow.
