Mahmudur Rahman Manna, president of Nagrik Oikya, feels that it is necessary to bring about positive changes in the political parties after the student uprising. He said, “We think that political parties should understand the changing trend and make the change positive with everyone.”
He said this at a discussion meeting titled ‘Today’s Bangladesh after the Student-Janatar Uprising’ on Thursday. The meeting was held at Narayanganj Press Club organized by Nagrik Oikya.
Manna said, the young people, students should understand from where such a big tendency to bet their lives. What they have been able to do, the political parties have not been able to do. The parties rallied; The police said it was gone. But the students said – ‘No, we are in our place. shoot, kill; But don’t move.’ They were willing to die with courage rather than a life of weariness and humiliation. Here they won by showing that courage.
Manna, the former VP of Dakso, said that this is Jane G, their words are clear. They don’t want to see old trends; Wants a new trend. So your vision should also be like that. The vision must match the changing flow. Not with the previous culture.
Commenting that the interim government should be given time, he said that it may take time for this government to organize the administration and other things. Even a political government here would take time. He also said, ‘so that dictatorship cannot return again, the constitution must be amended. It is necessary to change the part of the constitution which allows dictatorship to last.
