New Partial Committees Approved for Sylhet District and Metropolitan Jubo Dal

The central committee of Jubo Dal has approved new partial committees for the Sylhet District and Metropolitan units.

Earlier, the approval of these two committees was announced through separate notifications signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, the Central Joint General Secretary of Jubo Dal.

In the District Jubo Dal committee, Mohammad Maksud Ahmad has been appointed as President and Abdus Salam Tipu as General Secretary. Meanwhile, in the Metropolitan Jubo Dal committee, Mirza Mohammad Samrat has been appointed as President and Delwar Hossain Dinar as General Secretary.

Notably, Maksud Ahmad and Mirza Mohammad Samrat previously served as General Secretaries for the District and Metropolitan Jubo Dal committees, respectively. Delwar Hossain Dinar, the newly appointed General Secretary of the Metropolitan Jubo Dal, currently holds the position of General Secretary for the Metropolitan Chhatra Dal.

Central Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan approved these two committees.

The partial District committee also includes Senior Vice-President Koyes Ahmad, 1st Joint General Secretary Mashrur Russell, and Organizing Secretary Habibul Bashar Habib.

The partial Metropolitan committee includes Senior Vice-President Emdadul Haque Swapan, 1st Joint General Secretary Tahsin Mehdi Prince, and Organizing Secretary Hossain Ahmad.

Leaders of both committees have been instructed to form full-fledged 101-member committees within 30 days.

Previously, on September 10, 2022, Mominul Islam and Mohammad Maksud Ahmad were elected President and General Secretary of the District Jubo Dal, respectively, through a vote. Meanwhile, Shahnewaz Bakht Chowdhury and Mirza Md. Samrat Hossain became the President and General Secretary of the Metropolitan Jubo Dal.

Two years later, on September 19, 2024, full-fledged committees for the Sylhet District and Metropolitan Jubo Dal were approved; the District committee comprised 291 members, while the Metropolitan committee consisted of 301 members.
