Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 6 people while returning to the country after illegally entering India through the border at Madhavpur in Habiganj.

A patrol of Dharmaghar BOP under Sarail Battalion (25 BGB) early Sunday morning (September 22) intercepted them from a place called Santoshpur, approximately 100 yards from Border Pillar 1997/3-S inside Bangladesh. All those arrested are citizens of Bangladesh. They went to India illegally.

The arrested are Dulal Mia (30) son of Rafiqul Islam of Morapagla village of Kalagar village of Chapainawabganj police station, Russell (16) son of Shafiqul Islam of Chakpara village of the same police station, Shahadat Hossain (19) son of Abdur Rahim, Abdul Bari (30) son of Fariz Uddin of Chunaputi village. ), Abdul Alim (19) son of Raihan Mia, Toshar Ali (17) son of Abdul Momin of Guntula village of Shibganj police station.

BGB said – When the arrested were interrogated, they said that with the help of brokers, they had gone illegally from Bangladesh to India through the Madhavpur border to do masonry work about three months ago. Again they were detained while entering Bangladesh illegally from India. Three thousand two hundred taka was seized from them.

Madhavpur Police Station (OC) Abdullah Al Mamun said that BGB handed them over to the police station after arresting them. Legal action will be taken against them.
