Shaistaganj (Habiganj) Representative //
An exchange meeting was held with the newly appointed officer in charge (OC) of Shaestaganj police station Dilip Kant Nath. On Wednesday (October 2) at 9:30 pm, the journalists discussed law and order with the new officer in charge Dilip Kant Nath in the officer in charge (OC) room of the police station. At that time, the journalists said that Shaistaganj is being used as a transit point for drugs and is going to different places in the district. Otherwise, everyone should be alert and eradicated. However, drug dealers and drug users in Shaistaganj upazila should be socially boycotted. Drug consumption and sale of drugs must be stopped inside the upazila railways. Many boys of Bakat should be stopped from roaming around at night. Gambling sessions are held at different places, but that must be prevented. If any crime is caught, don’t leave it to anyone’s word but punish it after scrutiny. Meanwhile, sand is extracted from the Sutang river, but crops and houses are suffering a lot of damage. It must be resisted. On the other hand, attention should be paid to ensure that no innocent person is harassed by the police in any case at the police station.
In response to the questions of the journalists, the new officer in charge (OC) Dilip Kant Nath said that he wants the cooperation of the journalists for the overall development of law and order. Apart from this, OC Dilip Kant Nath assured all cooperation in getting public services from the police as per the instructions of the Superintendent of Jail Police.
