The Friendship Merit Scholarship Examination was held under the auspices of Haji Fakhrul Islam Education Trust in Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet.
This scholarship examination was held at Friendship Public School on Saturday (December 14) at 10 am with the funding of Haji Fakhrul Islam Education Trust and organized by SSC Batch-1996 Friendship Foundation.
Out of 208 examinees of class V of 41 reputed government and private institutions of Jaintapur Upazila, 194 examinees participated in the examination. Upazila Primary Education Officer Abed Hossain and Assistant Education Officer Md. Julhas observed the examination.
The examination started from 10 am and continued till 12:30 pm. The lively presence of students and guardians at the examination center was noticeable.
At that time, the organizers and guardians expressed satisfaction with the examination. Chairman of Haji Fakhrul Islam Education Trust and Advisor of SSC Batch-1996 Friendship Foundation, Fahad Madani Islam, praised everyone involved and said that such cognitive tests increase competition and interest in acquiring knowledge among students in developing talent.
During this time, the center was visited by the President of the Advisory Council of the Friendship Merit Scholarship Examination Management Committee, Ronifaud Government Primary School Headmaster Md. Mostaq Ahmed, Advisory Council member Md. Abdul Malik, retired Headmaster of Lamnigram Model Government Primary School, Md. Abdur Rahim, Headmaster of Madar Mokam Government Primary School, Md. Moniruzzaman, Headmaster of Chakta Government Primary School, Md. Manjur Ahmed, Headmaster of Chiknagul Government Primary School, Bijen Deb, Headmaster of Uttar Baurbagh Government Primary School, Md. Faruk Ahmed, Headmaster of Kamrangi Government Primary School, Md. Jasim Uddin, Headmaster of Dultirpar Government Primary School, Md. Zakaria, Assistant Teacher of Vitrikhel Government Primary School, and others.
At that time, the panel board was in charge of and present, the chairman of the panel board, the head teacher of Bichnatek Government Primary School, Md. Rafiq Ahmed, the panel board members, the head teacher of Asampara Government Primary School, Shahid Mia, the head teacher of Manikpara Government Primary School, Md. Mamunur Islam, the head teacher of Kharilhat Government Primary School, Mohammad Kabir Uddin, the assistant teacher of Uttar Baurbagh Government Primary School, Fakhrul Alam.
The scholarship examination was organized and the examination was supervised by Suranjit Deb, member of the SSC Batch-1996 Friendship Foundation, member secretary Lenin Poddar, members Dr. Mohibul Haque, Mamunur Rashid, Mahbub Alam, Rinku De, Faizul Hasan, Md. Kabir Ahmed, Md. Shamsuddin, Md. Faizur Ahmed, Md. Koyshar Ahmed, etc.
Meanwhile, at 6 pm in the presence of all the members of the examination management committee, the Upazila Primary Education Officer Abed Hossain, signed by the panel board of the examination management committee, officially announced the results of the examination. In this, 14 students got the Talentpole scholarship by getting the highest marks of 71-89 and got the general scholarship by getting the lowest marks of 51-70. Out of 194 students who participated in the examination, a total of 42 students got the scholarship.
