A memorandum was submitted to the principal of the college on behalf of the Samajtantrik Chhatra Front to implement the 6-point demands to resolve various crises existing in government colleges in Moulvibazar.
After submitting the memorandum on Wednesday (August 27) morning, Rajiv Sutradhar, the chief organizer of the Samajtantrik Chhatra Front Moulvibazar Government College, said, Moulvibazar Government College is a renowned and traditional school in Moulvibazar district and Sylhet division, and our college is known as the highest school in Moulvibazar district. This institution is plagued by various crises against the backdrop of about 18 thousand students in the college. As a result, students are being deprived of their rights and the educational environment is also being damaged.
On behalf of the Samajtantrik Chhatra Front Moulvibazar Government College branch, we have been vocal for a long time to resolve the existing crisis in the college, build a student-friendly democratic campus and realize the rights of students.
We submitted a memorandum to the Principal today with various demands including resolving the existing crisis in Moulvibazar Government College and building a student-friendly democratic campus, including resolving the transport-housing crisis, establishing a medical center in the college, modernizing the library-seminar, and connecting new books. We have also highlighted our long-standing demand for the Moulvibazar Government College Central Student Union election as an important demand in the memorandum. The Principal Sir assured to purchase buses to resolve the transport crisis as soon as possible and assured that he will implement other demands including appointing MBBS doctors and establishing a medical center step by step.
