Former MP of Chittagong-15 constituency Dr. Abu Reza Muhammad Nadvi has been arrested.
The DB police arrested him from Uttara in the capital on Saturday.
Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) of the Media and Public Relations Department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter.
Earlier, on October 9, a case was filed against former MP Abu Reza Muhammad Nadvi and his nephew Madarsha Union Parishad Chairman ANM Selim Chowdhury, along with 49 leaders and activists of the Awami League and its affiliate organizations in Satkania, Chittagong.
The case was filed at Satkania Police Station by BNP leader and resident of Keochia Union of the upazila Md. Mostafizur Rahman (40).
