President of the People’s Rights Council and former VP of DUCSU, Nurul Haque Nur, said that there is no need to repeal the 1972 constitution. However, it can be amended.

At that time, the President of the People’s Rights Council announced that the two parts of the People’s Rights Council have been merged again, forgetting all differences.
Former VP of DUCSU, Nurul Haque Nur said that the People’s Rights Council has been unified, forgetting all differences in the larger interest. One or two people may be outside it. He hopes that all of them will join with time.
Stating that there is no need to repeal the 1972 constitution, Nur said that the constitution has been amended 17 times at different times. There is no need to repeal it. Rather, it can be amended after discussing with everyone.
At this time, regarding the Liberation War of 1971, he said that a nation becomes independent only once. 1971 cannot be compared to 24. The government must provide all the support to all those injured in the quota movement and the July movement.
He also said that the accused including Sheikh Hasina in the genocide trial should be given the maximum punishment, if their trial is not ensured, more genocides will happen in the future, and a fascist government will emerge. The problem will not be solved by just holding elections, Hasina must be tried and reformed before that.
At this time, Nur also criticized the government. He said that people’s expectations have stumbled in five months.
