Cold weather is coming across the country again. Along with it, thick fog has started blowing. The Meteorological Department has said that a cold wave may continue across the country for the next week.

The Meteorological Office said that the daytime temperature across the country may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. After a break of a few days, a cold wave may begin in various places including the northern part of the country. This cold wave may continue across the country for the next week.

According to the Meteorological Department, the lowest temperature in the country on Tuesday was 9.5 degrees Celsius in Tentulia. The highest temperature in the capital was around 30 degrees Celsius. And the lowest temperature was 18 degrees Celsius. In other districts, the highest and lowest temperatures were between 17 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologist Omar Farooq said that the flow of cold winter winds has become stronger. Along with this, the amount of fog is increasing rapidly. As a result, both fog and cold are likely to increase rapidly in the next few days. This cold is likely to continue till January 14.

Meteorologists say that the low-lying part of the western low pressure is bringing cold air from the Kashmir region of the Himalayas in northwest India. This cold air flow is coming eastwards across the central and northeastern states of India. It may start flowing over Bangladesh from Wednesday morning. As a result, foggy cold air will start flowing over the country again from this morning.
