Tajul Mahuri (45), the accused in the case of the anti-discrimination student movement, has become the owner of hundreds of crores of taka in the last 17 years under the umbrella of Awami League. Despite the case, he is working fearlessly in the district sub-registrar’s office.

He earns 100,000 to 150,000 taka every day by interacting with the sub-registrar. Sometimes the public arrests him, but he runs away without warning. Despite such allegations, members of the law enforcement agencies are playing a silent role.

Last Sunday afternoon, a group of students arrested him in front of the sub-registrar’s office and gave him a good beating. At one point, when the police were informed, he was released before the police left. There is a critical discussion going on across the city about this. News about Tajul Mahuri has been published on social media and various newspapers.

Locals said that Tajul Muhri, son of Mr. Ali of Richi village, studied up to 8th grade and in 2009, by getting help from MP Abu Zahir, he became the owner of hundreds of crores of taka by 2024 by making various fake documents. He has several luxurious houses in Alipur and Habiganj cities. The ACC has also filed a case in this regard. Even then, he is roaming around with bravery. Locals have demanded his immediate arrest.

Any of your opinions will be welcomed.
