The annual joy trip of the Jaintapur Online Press Club has been completed with a colorful arrangement with the aim of getting to know the beloved motherland, improving skills, acquiring knowledge and enjoying joy in a busy life.
This joy trip started from Jaintapur at 10 am yesterday, Saturday, and ended at 7 pm after visiting various tourist attractions in Zakiganj Upazila, which is surrounded by Surma-Kushiyara, the border town of the country.
On Saturday (January 25), at 10 am, the press club’s convoy of journalist leaders started their journey in microbuses from the Darvast Bazar Trimukhi Point of the upazila to Kaliganj Jannat Entertainment Park in Zakiganj Upazila.
The Jaintapur Online Press Club’s fun tour team arrived at Jannat Entertainment Park in Kaliganj of the upazila at 1 pm. After a couple of hours of fun, the team visited the mouths of three rivers on the Bangladesh-India border. During this time, they enjoyed the beautiful view of the Barak River, which borders Karimganj district of Assam, India, and Badarpur district of Meghalaya, and the confluence and origin of the Surma and Kushiara rivers of Zakiganj upazila on the Sylhet border of Bangladesh.
Later, in the last part of the fun tour, the team visited the Zakiganj Karimganj Customs Ghat area on the banks of the Kushiara river in Zakiganj Sadar.
At this time, the general secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP Jaintapur Upazila branch Abdul Hafiz, chairman of Jaintapur Union Parishad No. 2 Fakhrul Islam, former chairman and vice-president of Upazila BNP Alhaj Alamgir Hossain participated in the joyous tour as invited guests.
At this time, the president of Jaintapur Online Press Club and upazila correspondent of Shuvo Pratidin newspaper Mainul Mursalin Ruhel, general secretary and Jaintapur correspondent of Daily Ajker newspaper Rezwan Karim Sabbir, advisory council member Abul Hossain Mohammad Hanif, upazila correspondent of Daily Uttar Purba newspaper, and upazila correspondent of Daily Kalbela newspaper Nazmul Islam participated in the joyous tour.
Also present were Mohammad Abdullah, a member of the Jaintapur Online Press Club and Upazila Correspondent of the Daily Sylhet Bani and English The Daily Morning Sun, Tofail Ahmed, Upazila Correspondent of the Daily Sylhet Dinkal, Ismail Hossain, Staff Reporter of the Daily Sylhet Surma, Saiful Islam Babu, Upazila Correspondent of the Daily Jainta Barta, Murad Hasan, Upazila Correspondent of the Daily Kazir Bazar and Adhunik Kagoj newspapers, Zahidul Islam, Upazila Correspondent of the Daily Bhorer Akash and Sylhet Somoy newspapers, Imam Uddin, Upazila Correspondent of the Daily Alokot Sylhet, Shoaibur Rahman, Channel S Correspondent, Saj Uddin Saju, and Shuvo Pratidin and Daily Report Correspondent Russell Mahfuz.
Earlier, on the eve of their departure from Jaintapur to Zakiganj Upazila, Intaj Ali, Chairman of No. 1 Nijpat Union Parishad and Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary, and Baharul Alam Bahar, Chairman of No. 4 Darvast Union Parishad and Upazila Jubo Dal Convener, were present to bid farewell to the journalists of Team Online Press Club.
