Syeda Akhter Begum, wife of UK expatriate Syed Madachchir Ahmed, has held a press conference protesting the land grabbing and threats by pretending to be a fake heir and using fake documents.

Organizing a press conference at the Moulvibazar Press Club on Thursday (February 6), Syeda Akhter said in a written statement that land owner Sajjadur Rahman Jitu, a resident of Girja Para, is harassing the deceased Syed Madachchir Ahmed by creating fake certificates and documents and threatening to kill him by making false cases. Earlier, Syeda Akhter Begum held a protest meeting in front of the Press Club demanding the withdrawal of the false case and punishment of Sajjadur Rahman.

In a written statement at the press conference, she said, “I have been an expatriate in England for a long time.” My husband’s name is Syed Madachchir Ahmed. He died on 15/03/99 after living in England for a long time.

At the time of his death, he left behind his 1st wife, Syeda Akhtar Begum, 1 son Syed Ali Raja Ahmed, 2 daughters Syeda Sajni Khan and Syeda Rajni Ahmed as his heirs. My husband Syed Madachchir Ahmed, I and. All our 3 sons and daughters have been living in England for a long time. The only son Syed Ali Raja Ahmed also died while already living in England, leaving behind a wife, 2 minor daughters and 1 minor son.

She said that her husband Syed Madachchir Ahmed did not marry again. Her husband, the deceased Syed Madachchir Ahmed, had two brothers – Syed Mahmud Ali and Syed Shafiqur Rahman. Syed Shafiqur Rahman died childless. Syed Mahmud Ali died leaving behind 5 sons, namely – 1) Syed Abdul Matin, 2) Syed Sajjadur Rahman, 3) Syed Alaur Rahman Situ, 4) Syed Ali Newaz alias Syed Azizur Rahman and 3 daughters – 1) Syeda Tahera Khanam, 2) Syeda Rahela Begum and 3) Syeda Shiuli Begum.

It is to be noted that Syed Mahmud Ali’s wife’s name is Syeda Kachibunnesa and Syeda Kachibunnesa became the mother of Syeda Mahmud Ali’s 5 sons and 3 daughters.

My husband Syed Madachchir Ahmed became the owner of the land mentioned in the 1st Schedule of the complaint based on the purchase deed. Syed Madachchir Ahmed and his only son Syed Ali Raja Ahmed died, and with the evil intention of embezzling the property of Syed Madachchir Ahmed, his own nephews Syed Mahmud Ali, the sons of my husband, the deceased Syed Madachchir Ahmed, prepared a fake, forged inheritance certificate from Moulvibazar Municipality on 19/03/2018 in the name of my husband, the deceased Syed Madachchir Ahmed, in collusion with others.
After coming to know about the matter, the Moulvibazar Municipality authorities canceled the inheritance certificate on 28/05/2019. In fact, the father of the 1st defendant Syed Sajjadur Rahman is Syed Mahmud Ali and mother is Syeda Kachibunnesa. Despite the existence of many evidences including the birth registration certificate of the 1st defendant, various documents of marriage, and the inheritance certificate of the union, in the unfortunate intention of embezzling the uncle’s property, the 1st defendant has created an identity card number 6458137657 by writing his father’s name – Syed Madachchir Ahmed instead of his father – Syed Mahmud Ali under the cover of forgery.
He said, I am in the UK and the defendants are trying to seize the property of my late husband Syed Madachchir Ahmed by creating fake documents under the cover of forgery. And a case has been filed in this regard at the Moulvibazar Model Police Station. He is seeking cooperation from all levels of the administration in this regard.
