Husband Sohag Hossain committed suicide after slitting his wife’s throat due to a family dispute in the Baimail area of ​​Konabari Metro Police Station in Gazipur city. Police recovered their bodies from a rented house in the Baimail area around 4 pm on Saturday after receiving the news.

Sohag is the son of Siddiqur Rahman of Dhap Tetulia village in Tarash upazila of Sirajganj district and Mou Akhter Brishti is the daughter of Mobarak Hossain of Sanduria village in the same district. They lived in a rented house in the Quader Market area of ​​Madhyapara, Baimail.

Dewan Mohammad Russell, the son of the owner of the house, said that the other tenants of the house saw the door of the Sohag-Mou couple closed since morning. At that time, they did not open the door even though they knocked many times. When they went to the door again in the afternoon and knocked, it was found locked from inside. Later, 999 was called. Upon receiving the information, the police came and broke the door and entered the house. Then the police saw the body of the housewife Mau on the floor of the house and Sohag hanging with a noose around his neck.

Mau Akhter’s uncle Ratan Mia said that Sohag and Mau got married two years ago in a family affair. Mau was studying in the second year of honors at Sirajganj Government College. Her husband Sohag worked in an NGO in Konabari. They moved into a rented house on the 1st of this month. I don’t understand why such an incident happened.

Gazipur Metropolitan Konabari Police Station OC Nazrul Islam said that after receiving the 999 news, they went to the spot and recovered the bodies of the husband and wife. Initially, it is believed that such an incident occurred due to a family dispute. First the wife was killed, and then the husband committed suicide.
