President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday Bangladesh’s chief adviser. Muhammad called Yunus and congratulated him on taking charge as the head of the interim government.

In the phone conversation, President Erdogan expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives in the flood-hit areas of Bangladesh. He said that Türkiye will provide humanitarian assistance to flood victims.

Chief advisor. Muhammad Yunus thanked the Turkish President, a long-time friend of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2006. He said he and Turkish First Lady Emini Erdogan are members of the United Nations High-Level Zero-Waste Forum.

He called for increasing trade with Turkey and said that Turkey will need investment in important sectors including production in Bangladesh, where Turkey is a strong global power.

President Erdogan said he will soon send a high-powered delegation to Bangladesh in an effort to help rebuild the country.

He invited the Chief Adviser to visit Türkiye. Professor Yunus accepted this proposal and said that he will visit the country at a convenient time.

The Chief Adviser invited President Erdogan to visit Bangladesh. He also accepted that offer.
