The prize distribution ceremony of the Quran recitation competition was held on the occasion of HRC Quran Light Day in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.

On Friday (March 28), at the Darul Kerat Majidiya Fultali Trust Paschim Kalapur Jame Mosque of Kalapur Union in Srimangal Upazila, Srimangal Upazila, Md. Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury Tuhin was present as the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the competition and handed over the prizes to the participants of the competition.

The award distribution ceremony, presided over by Maulana Khaled Ahmed, Imam of Kalapur West Jame Mosque, and moderated by Syed Manzoor Ahmed, was attended by special guests including Maulana Joynal Abedin, Head of Darul Kerat Majidiya Fultoli Trust, Upazila Chhatra Dal former Joint-Ahabbayak Rajan Ahmed, former Upazila Chhatra Dal leader Mushfiqur Limon, District Chhatra Dal Co-Organizing Secretary Al Amin Hossain Munna, Kalapur Union Chhatra Dal leaders Ahmed Parvez, Zafar Ahmed, Shah Alam, Tarek Ahmed, Sayem Chowdhury, and Sohag Khan.

The chief guest said in his speech that for 15 long years, fascists had led the education sector towards destruction, especially in religious education, by including unbridled atheist syllabus. On the instructions of the future statesman Tarique Rahman, the leaders broke their fast with the grassroots people across the country in this month of Ramadan. After a long time, the people of Gramganj got a festive atmosphere at Iftar.

At the end of the ceremony, prayers were offered for the health of the national leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
