A six-member delegation led by Daniel Bleakmore, Regional Security Officer of the US Embassy in Dhaka, paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police, Bangladesh Md. Moinul Islam, NDC on Thursday afternoon at the police headquarters.
Other members of the delegation are Senior FSN Investigator Nabil Mahmud, Assistant Legal Attaché, FBI/LEGAT Robert Cameron, Security Investigator Md. Aminul Islam, Law Enforcement Assistant Attaché, ICITAP Michael Hintz. Michael Hintz) and Department of Justice, ICITAP Program Management Specialist Tanik Munir. Senior officials of Bangladesh Police were present at this time.
The IGP thanked the US government for supporting various trainings for police personnel. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on contemporary training and logistics cooperation at home and abroad to control rising crime, cybercrime, money laundering, transnational crime, human trafficking, human rights, crisis management and public order.
The IGP expects that the United States will continue to cooperate in the training of Bangladesh police. He said that the delegation would give full support to the training of Bangladesh Police.
