Kotwali Model Police Station has arrested TikToker Mahia Mahi along with a male companion from an elite residential hotel on Port Road in Barisal city. Discussions have started across the city since the incident. The news has created quite a stir. Tension has also spread on social media.

It is learnt that the incident took place on Wednesday (August 27) around midnight. A team of Kotwali Police Station entered Hotel Rodela during a regular police checking operation. Mahia Mahi and her male companion, who were staying in a room as ‘husband and wife’, were found there.

Another young woman was with them. She was also arrested by the police as an accomplice. Although she introduced herself as her husband to the man with her, Mahi could not show any valid documents during initial interrogation. As a result, the police took them to the police station for verification.

Confirming the truth of the incident, Kotwali Model Police Station OC Mizanur Rahman told the media, “Two young women and a man have been brought to the police station from Hotel Rodela. Although they said they were ‘husband and wife’, the matter is being verified. They do not have the necessary documents.”

A group of journalists rushed to Hotel Rodela after hearing the news that Mahia Mahi and her associates were brought to the police station. But Mahi and her companions became furious after seeing their cameras. Mahi’s companions tried to attack the journalists in front of their eyes. Some even went to snatch the cameras from their hands.

Mahia Mahi has already come to the center of discussion by creating various controversial content on TikTok. She has been the target of netizens’ wrath several times due to obscene and controversial videos. Now, a new storm of criticism has started against her in the hotel case.
