Sri Sri Jagannathdev’s Sananayatra Mohotsav, one of the religious events of Sanatan Dharma followers, was held at ISKCON Sylhet with various ceremonies and enthusiasm.

Thousands of devotees and pilgrims participated in this day-long bathing.

On Saturday (June 22), the bathing procession started at 10 am and lasted till 3 pm at the ISKCON Sylhet temple premises. On this occasion, various programs were organized in the Sylhet ISKCON temple throughout the day.

The ceremony started early Saturday morning with Mangal Aarti. In the morning, Guru Puja, Sanna Yatra, Mahatma Discussion and Naam Sankirtan with distribution of Mahaprasad.

Every year on the Jyaisthi Purnima Tithi of the month of Ashada, the Supreme Personality of Godhead Lord Krishna appears as the Nath Jagannath of the world for the welfare of the living beings. God has not only shown grace by appearing, but has also shown grace by glorifying the day of his appearance.

Shrimat Bhakti Advaita Navadwip Swami Maharaj, one of the monks of ISKCON Bangladesh, said that the Rath Yatra will be celebrated with the coordination of lakhs of devotees. On that day, Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra Maharani will pass from the temple to Masi’s house in a chariot. Devotees will pull the chariot on that day. The first stage of his preparation is Sri Sri Jagannathdev’s bathing journey.
