Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) has seized a large quantity of illegal Indian goods in separate raids in the border areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts. These products were seized under the leadership of BGB 48 battalion.
On Monday (September 23), the operation was conducted in the border area of Companyganj-Goainghat upazila of Sylhet and Chatak upazila of Sunamganj district.
In the operation, 538 sacks of Indian sugar, 167 bottles of Indian liquor and 1000 kg of Bangladeshi garlic were seized from the border areas of Companyganj and Goainghat upazilas. Also, 16 large buffaloes have been seized from the border area of Chatak Upazila of Sunamganj district.
Sylhet Battalion 48 BGB captain Lt. Col. Hafizur Rahman PSC confirmed the matter in a notification.
