Bahubal (Habiganj) Representative //

A clash occurred between two groups over land in Babnakandi village of Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district. One person was killed and at least fifty were injured in this incident.

The incident took place on Tuesday (September 24) at Babnakandi village of the upazila around 9:30 am.

The deceased is Wahid Mia (32), son of Ishaq Ullah of that village.

According to local sources, there was a land dispute between Arju and Moshahid Mia of the same village for a long time. On Tuesday morning, both of them had an argument about the land. At one stage they clashed. The clash lasted for almost an hour. Meanwhile, a person named Wahid Mia died. In addition, the injured are receiving treatment at various hospitals and clinics. After receiving the news of the incident, Bahubal police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

In this regard, Bahubal Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moshiur Rahman confirmed the truth of the clash and told Morning Sun that the body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to the district headquarters hospital morgue for post-mortem. At present the situation is calm.
