Nabiganj (Habiganj) Representative //
A young man named Mokhlesh Mia (35), a resident of Netrokona district, was killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pickup van in Nabiganj upazila. The pickup van driver was seriously injured in the incident. The accident took place at Kandigaon in Ghaznaipur union of Nabiganj upazila on Dhaka-Sylhet highway on Thursday morning.
According to the police, a truck carrying sand bound for Dhaka from Sylhet collided head-on with a pick-up van coming from the opposite direction when it reached Kandigaon in Ghaznaipur Union of Upazila. The passenger of the pickup van Mokhlesh Mia (35) was killed on the spot and the van driver was seriously injured.
On receiving the information, Sherpur Highway Police Station and Goplar Bazar Investigation Center Police went to the spot and recovered the body and the injured pickup van driver was sent to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. Sherpur Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Parimal Chandra Dev confirmed the death to The Daily Morning Sun.
