Photo: Collected. The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has conducted a raid at the head office of Jalalabad Gas. A team from the ACC’s Sylhet Integrated District Office carried out the operation yesterday, Thursday (September 24), afternoon.
It has been reported that the raid was conducted following allegations of attempts to cover up an incident and recommendations to irregularly exonerate two officials involved in the misappropriation of revenue amounting to Tk 80 lakh.
ACC officials seized various documents and important records. A report recommending necessary legal action will be submitted after reviewing these documents and records. Subel Ahmed, Deputy Director of the ACC Sylhet office, confirmed this information to the media.
