The incidence of juvenile gangs has increased in Shaistaganj upazila of Habiganj. There is panic among the parents. As their activities are increasing day by day, the local police administration and heads of educational institutions are worried about the matter.

In the investigation, it can be seen that within the municipal city, educational institutions Shaistaganj High School, Girls High School, Islami Academy and High School, Jahur Chan Bibi Women’s College, Degree College, Kamil Model Madrasa School-College during the commencement and holidays of juvenile gangs named Kishore Gang in different village streets, On railway lines, roads, railway stations, railway gates, TomTom and CNG stands, sitting at various points and shops in the village, standing in front of school-college roads and shops, juvenile gangs of criminals appear in different guises every day, either alone or in groups, and hang out and roam unnecessarily. Because of their origins, many parents fear not sending their children to educational institutions and many do not want to admit them. Again, many youth gangs are getting involved in murders and brawls. As parents, siblings and guardians are not aware of juvenile gangs, their school-college students are getting involved with dangerous juvenile gangs. Although the administration is active in suppressing juvenile gangs, crimes caused by juvenile gangs are happening somewhere in the municipal cities. They are looking at the school-college-going or coaching center-going girls in the early morning by looking at the girl-girls in different ways while they are walking in the streets. Many students are not able to tell anyone out of shame or fear of slander and sometimes do not tell the head of the educational institution and their parents out of fear of shame.

Many youth gangs assume different names and roam around the railway station at night in lonely points of the city, sit on the railway station overbridge, sit in the railway parking, Monika Cinema Hall area, Daudnagar Bazar rail gate chat and Balla rail gate tea shops, sit on railway lines and chat in various educational institutions. Gambling game called ludu game through mobile phones has been active in various crimes including chattering in the streets and shops near shops in different villages. It is known from several sources that these teams target tourists and enter the field in the early morning and evening. As a result, the teenage gangs are humiliating the parents, brothers and sisters of the students every day. Even if the parents of the juvenile gangs seek justice in the case of eve-teasing of female students, it is of no use.

Conscious people feel that RAB and police administration need to play a strict role to stop the emergence of juvenile gangs in Shaistaganj city.
