Chhatra League leader Sarwar Hossain Annie has been arrested by the police in a case filed by Sheikh Hriday, an activist of the anti-discrimination student movement in Shaistaganj, Habiganj. He is the Joint General Secretary of Shaistaganj Municipal Chhatra League.

He was arrested from his home in South Barachar village on Tuesday (October 15) around noon. He is the son of Anwar Hossain of the same area.

Shaistaganj police officer in-charge (OC) Dilip Kant Nath confirmed the arrest of the accused and said that he was handed over to the learned court under police guard in the afternoon.

On September 17, student movement activist Class XII student Ataur Rahman Hriday alias Sheikh Hriday filed a case against 116 people at the Shaistaganj Police Station as the plaintiff.

Earlier, on August 4 at 3 pm, the students gathered to hold the program of anti-discrimination student movement at the railway parking area of ​​Shaistaganj. At that time, Sheikh Hriday was injured in the attack by the leaders and activists of Awami League and its organizations. Suffers fatal injury due to injury to left eye, his eye is damaged. Currently he is undergoing treatment at Sylhet CMH.
