The 6th class student who was abducted from Madhavpur was rescued by the police from a village in Habiganj Sadar Upazila after 9 days. The alleged lover of a bank security guard Tanveer Mia (20) has been arrested by the police for his involvement in the incident.

SI Mukul Hossain under the supervision of Madhabpur police station officer-in-charge Abdullah Al Mamun, a group of police raided Tanveer’s house in Jairampur village of Habiganj Sadar police station on Saturday morning and rescued the kidnapped student and arrested Tanveer. The victim has been sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital for medical examination and has been taken to court for taking statement under section 22. On the other hand, Tanveer accused of kidnapping has been sent to jail through the court.
According to the police, Sumon Chandra Deb of Barhatra Upazila of Netrokona District works as a security guard in a bank in Noapara Bazar of Madhavpur Upazila. Lives in a rented house with family. Her daughter is a 6th standard student. On the way to and from school, Tanveer Mia, a security guard of a bank branch in Noapara Bazar, a resident of Jairampur in Habiganj, used to give bad suggestions in various ways. On the night of October 11, the schoolgirl was abducted by Tanveer in a CNG autorickshaw. In this incident, the victim’s father filed a complaint at Madhavpur police station, the police rescued the victim and arrested the abductor.
