Golapganj (Sylhet) Representative //
A young man was stabbed to death by his cousin in Golapganj, Sylhet. The deceased is Rimon Ahmad (22), son of Israb Ali of Rafipur Dakshin Maizbhag village of the upazila. He is a gas powered autorickshaw (CNG) driver by profession.
The incident took place on Friday (October 25) at around 7:30 pm in South Maizbhag village.
It is known that for the past few days there was a dispute between Rimon’s cousins Badrul and Sadiq over the money for the sale of the motorcycle. Even though there was a local arbitration meeting, there was no solution. Recently Sadiq impounded that motorcycle. There was an argument between the two on Friday evening. Then Rimon took the side of Ahmad Badrul. At one point Sadiq got excited and stabbed Rimon and he fell to the ground. Later, the locals rescued Rimon with serious injuries and took him to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Confirming the truth of this matter, Golapganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mir Mohammad Abdun Nasser said that efforts are underway to arrest those involved in the murder.
