The perverted husband kills wife by smothering her with a pillow. Despite family disagreements, Sayedi Chowdhury and Rakiba got married just six months ago. But in a cruel twist of fate, less than six months after the wedding, Rakiba, the beloved wife of that beloved husband, was found dead in the arms of her beloved husband.
The sensational incident took place on Sunday (December 1) morning in Ahmedabad village of Gourarang union in Sadar upazila of Sunamganj district. Later, after receiving the news of the incident, the police arrested the murderer, Sayedi Chowdhury.
He is Sayedi Chowdhury (21), son of Aklus Mia Chowdhury of Ahmedabad village.
According to local sources, although their married life went well for a few days, there was a family feud after marriage. On Sunday morning, a quarrel broke out between the husband and wife. At one point, the murderer, Sayeedi, got angry and tried to kill Rakiba by smothering her with a pillow and running away. At that time, the locals detained him and informed the police. After receiving the news of the incident, the police reached the spot and took him into custody. After recovering the body of the deceased, they sent it to the morgue for an autopsy after preparing a post-mortem report. During the initial interrogation of the police, he confessed to killing his wife.
The deceased Rakiba is Rakiba, the daughter of Achan Nabi of Jagannathpur village. No murder case has been filed at the police station till the time of writing this report.
Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased, Aybanu, told the reporter, “My daughter was often tortured by her son-in-law and his family members over trivial family matters. My daughter was tortured on Sunday morning as well. She told us all this while crying over the phone. My daughter was killed in a planned manner. I want justice for my daughter’s murder. I want the murderer to be hanged.
Sunamganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Nazmul Haque confirmed the truth of this matter to The Daily Morning Sun. He said, Sayedi has confessed to the murder. Further legal action will be taken if any of the victim’s family files a complaint.
