Police have recovered the hanging body of a woman named Suchitra Sawtal (50) from Reserve Tila in Ranigaon Union of Chunarughat Upazila of Habiganj. She is the wife of Kanu Sawtal of that village.
On Saturday afternoon, people saw her body hanging from a branch of a catal tree in a lemon garden and informed the police station. The police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital.
According to local sources, the police said that Suchitra had been suffering from stomach pain for a few days. When the pain increased, she would writhe in pain. But due to lack of funds, it was not possible to get treatment. They think that she may have committed suicide to escape the pain. However, the police say that the cause of death will be known after the autopsy.
