All the educational institutions of the country were closed for a long time due to the quota reform movement and later the mass uprising of the students demanding the resignation of the government. Finally, on Sunday (August 18), the educational institution opened. The students who participated in the movement returned to the classroom with the pain of losing their classmates. Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman expressed his gratitude to the students for their brave role in the movement.
In a Facebook post on Sunday (August 18), Tariq Rahman wrote, ‘I want to thank our students for their brave role, for proving the power of the people. They gave their lives to stand up for what was right.’
Stating that the students have become a great inspiration for him, Tariq Rahman added, “I am inspired by your passion and energy, which will serve as an important foundation in building a new Bangladesh.”
Acting Chairman of BNP also praised the traffic management and graffiti of the students after the movement. He mentioned that in future, BNP will work together with the youth of the country in social, environmental and public welfare activities.
Let’s all try to build a tolerant and progressive Bangladesh. Where everyone will get equal opportunity, dignity and justice above political identity, religion and relationship’ – added Tariq Rahman.
