A service facilitation meeting was held in Jaintapur Upazila with the aim of making government services easily available to the doorsteps of the common people and creating awareness and motivation about government services at the union level.
On Monday (December 23), a day-long service facilitation meeting was held at the Darvast Union Parishad premises organized by the Upazila Administration Jaintapur and with the overall support of Darvast Union Parishad No. 4. Stalls of various departments of Jaintapur Upazila Administration were set up at the event.
Jaintapur Upazila Executive Officer Umme Salik Rumaiya was present as the chief guest at the event, chaired by Baharul Alam Bahar, Chairman of Darvast Union Parishad No. 4. Farzana Akhter Laboni was present as the special guest.
The Jaintapur Upazila administration set up various service stalls for the Land Office, Upazila Health Complex, Upazila Family Planning Office, Agriculture Office, Social Services Office, Women’s Affairs Office, Youth Development Office, Public Health Engineering Office, Livestock Office, Fisheries Office, Rural Savings Bank, and Cooperative Office.
Also present at the service facilitation ceremony were Upazila Agriculture Officer Shamima Akhter, Senior Fisheries Officer Oliur Rahman, Secondary Academic Supervisor Azizul Haque Khokon, Upazila Health Family Officer Rentu Purkayastha, Women’s Affairs Officer Taslima, and Assistant Education Officer Mohammad Julhas.
Also present were Upazila Primary School Teachers Association President Moniruzzaman, General Secretary Mostaq Ahmed, Jaintapur Online Press Club President Moinul Mursalin Ruhel, General Secretary Rezwan Karim Sabbir, Jaintapur Press Club Former President Faiz Ahmed, Upazila Volunteer Party Former President Altaf Hossain Belal, UP members of No. 4 Darvast Union Parishad Abdur Rakib, Modasshir Ahmed, Shamsul Islam, Women’s UP members Minu Rani De, Pratima Rani, Razia Sultana, Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Badrul Alam Shaon, Joint Convener Tofail Ahmed and others.
Later, farewell receptions and honorary mementos were given to the newly retired teachers from various educational institutions of No. 4 Darvast Union. Senior teachers Ataur Rahman, Enayet Ullah, Ziaul Haque, Abdul Malik, Mihir Chandra Deb, Mizanur Rahman, Rashid Ali, Abdul Hai, Mohammad Hossain, Dijendra Chakraborty, Meherun Nesa, Faruk Ahmed and others were also present at the award ceremony. Later, Jaintapur Upazila Executive Officer Umme Salik Rumaiya handed over the award to 27 retired senior teachers.
