Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced various programs for 5 days around its 46th founding anniversary.

A joint meeting was held on Wednesday at the party’s central office under the chairmanship of Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

After the meeting, Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme.

He said that the 46th anniversary of BNP will be celebrated with due dignity. According to the decision of the meeting, the 5-day program will begin on August 31. It will end on September 4.

Among these, a discussion meeting on the purpose and significance of the establishment of BNP will be held on August 31 (Saturday) at 2 pm at Ramner Engineers Institution auditorium in the capital.

The elite intellectuals of the country along with the senior leaders of the party will participate in it. On the second day (September 1) at 6 am, the party flag will be hoisted at the party offices across the country including the Nayapaltan central office of BNP. At 11 am on that day, BNP founder chairman Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam’s shrine will be read by members of the National Standing Committee of the party along with the BNP Secretary General and all the leaders and activists will offer Fateha readings and wreaths.

A colorful rally will be held on the third day (September 2) to mark the party’s foundation anniversary. On the fourth day (September 3) on the occasion of the foundation anniversary, a nationwide program of de-fishing in canals-bil-ponds will be observed. The fifth day is September 4. On that day, on the occasion of the foundation anniversary, tree plantation will be done across the country.

Rizvi also said that crore papers will be published in the newspaper on the occasion of the foundation anniversary. At the same time, rallies and discussions will be held in districts and cities across the country on September 2 and discussions at the upazila level on September 3.
