1 arrested with truckload of Indian sugar from Surma Gate Bypass

SMP Shahparan (Rah) Mazar Police Investigation Center Outpost has arrested one person with a large quantity of truckload of Indian sugar. On Friday, around 5 am, the police conducted a raid in the Surma Bypass Point area and arrested the person with a truckload of Indian sugar.

The arrested person is Md. Alamgir (58), son of the deceased Gazi Mia of Paranagar village of Shaharasti police station in Chandpur district.

It is learned that on Friday morning, based on a secret information, a police team led by SI (retd) Md. Sanaul Islam of Shahparan Mazar Investigation Center Outpost Police conducted a raid in the Surma Gate Bypass Point area. During this, Alamgir, who was cooperating in the theft, was arrested with 400 bags of Indian sugar loaded on a truck. The market value of the seized sugar is about three lakh taka.

Shahparan (RA) Police Station Officer-in-Charge Monir Hossain confirmed the truth of this matter. He said that the police is working as per the directions of the Police Commissioner. The police will be regularly vocal against any irregularities and corruption.
