New chairmen appointed in three education boards including Sylhet

The interim government has appointed new chairmen in four education boards in the country. The boards are Jessore, Comilla, Sylhet and Dinajpur.

On Sunday, a notification was issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education appointing these officers of the BCS General Education cadre on deputation.

According to the notification, Dr. Asma Begum, a professor of political science at Dhaka’s Government Titumir College, has been appointed as the Jessore Education Board, Md. Anwar Hossain Chowdhury, Vice-Principal (Professor of Mathematics) of Moulvibazar Government College, has been appointed as the Sylhet, and Maha. Touhidul Islam, Principal (Professor of English Department) of Chapainawabganj Government College, has been appointed as the Dinajpur Education Board.

On the other hand, Sylhet Education Board Chairman (Professor of Mathematics) Md. Shamsul Islam has been appointed as the Comilla Board Chairman.
