An interfaith dialogue titled ‘Building Bangladesh of Peace and Harmony, Not Conflict’ was held in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
This interfaith dialogue was held on Thursday morning at the Srimangal Upazila Parishad meeting room under the auspices of Peace Facilitator Group (PFG), Srimangal and The Hunger Project Bangladesh and MIPS projects.
Upazila Executive Officer Md. Islam Uddin was present as the chief guest at the event.
PFG Srimangal Advisor and Deputy President Praveen journalist Syed Nesar Ahmed presided over the event and coordinated by journalist Syed Sayed Ahmed, and Sanak Srimangal Shatha President Deependra Chandra Bhattacharya was present as the special guest at the event. PFG member and former Zilla Parishad member Helena Chowdhury delivered the welcome speech.
Ambassador Kazi Asma read the article, Maulana MA Rahim Nomani read the pledge, and Central Coordinator Nazmul Huda Mina presented the organizational activities through a projector.
The speakers were Maulana Abdul Quddus Nizami, Imam and Khatib of Srimangal Jame Mosque, Maulana Sharif Uddin, Imam and Khatib of Kakia Bazar Jame Mosque, Hindu religious leader Indrajit Chakraborty, Parimal Singh Baraik, Christian leader Dominic Sarkar Rony, John Brian Daring, Govindra Debbarma and PFG member Md. Shamim Ahmed, among others.
