A delegation of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) inspected the completed project titled ‘Construction of two academic buildings and an auditorium building at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU).’

During the on-site inspection of the campus on Thursday (January 23), the inspection team reviewed the project’s drawings, designs, schedules, tender invitations, contractor appointment documents, project accounts, audit reports, bank account copies and all types of bill vouchers.

At the time, the university’s Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Alimul Islam, Treasurer Professor Dr. A.T.M. Mahbub-e-Ilahi, Director of Planning, Development and Works Department Professor Dr. Md. Siddikul Islam, Director of Finance and Accounts Department Professor Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin, Director of Public Relations and Publications Department Khasru Mohammad Salahuddin, Chief Engineer Md. Kamal Hossain Molla, Former Director of Planning, Development and Works Department Md. Sarfuddin, Director of Planning and Development Department of UGC Md. Makshudur Rahman Bhuiyan, Additional Director Suraiya Farhana and Senior Assistant Director Mosharraf Hossain were present.

After the inspection, a view-exchange meeting was held under the chairmanship of SIKU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Alimul Islam.

At this time, UGC Inspection Committee Convener Mohammad Makshudur Rahman Bhuiyan assured cooperation in conducting developmental activities of Sylhet Agricultural University.

In his speech, SIKU VC said that if necessary cooperation is received, it will be possible to develop Sylhet Agricultural University as a unique institution in education and research.
