A youth named Madhu Mia has been accused of stabbing to death in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar due to a previous dispute. The deceased Madhu Mia (38) is the son of Durud Mia of Rajkandi Barakhola area.
The incident took place in front of the Kamarchhara Tea Garden office in Alinagar Union on Monday night.
It is learned that Dilip Kairi and Ripon Kairi from the same area had an argument with Madhu Mia in front of the Kamarchhara office. At one point in the argument, Madhu Mia was stabbed to death on the spot. Police recovered the body on receiving information. 4 people have been arrested for questioning in this incident.
Kamalganj Police Station OC (Investigation) Shamim Akanji said that Dilip Kairi, Ripon Kairi, Ragunath Ravidas and Santosh Ravidas have been detained for questioning in this incident. He said that the body of the deceased has been sent to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy and preparations are underway to file a case.
