A complaint has been received against Samchul Haque Gong for constructing a multi-storey building in Nayorpool area by occupying other people’s land without legal documents.

A person named Nizam Uddin of Sang-50/B, Nayorpool area of Ward No. 15 of Sylhet city filed a complaint with the Sylhet City Corporation.

In the complaint, he said that a multi-storey building is being constructed on his land by exerting influence. At the same time, no law of the Sylhet City Corporation on the construction of multi-storey buildings is being followed.

In this regard, Samchul Haque Gong was issued 3 notices in a row from the Sylhet City Corporation to stop the construction of buildings in an illegal manner.

Although the notice ordered the construction work to be stopped and the approved design and land ownership documents of the building to be submitted, Samshul Haque Gangra is continuing the work on the multi-storey building without heeding these notices.

Md. Nizam Uddin, the son of the late Monir Mia, the legitimate son of the late Mukim Mia, said in the complaint that he is currently living in Dhaka.

He said that the original owner of the land plot of Sylhet Municipal Mouza, Khatian No. 376, Dag No. 10938, total land area of 35.62 hundred acres, was the late Maulana Mukim Mia.

Out of the 6 sons and 5 daughters born to the late Mukim Mia, his second wife, the late Labjan Bibi, had only one son, the late Monir Mia, and two daughters, Ishraq Banu and Chamirun Nesa.

Nizam Uddin further alleged that his father, the late Monir Mia, was able to permanently reside in Dhaka due to his job, and the late Mukim Mia’s son, the late Shafiqul Haque, skillfully seized the property of his brother, the late Monir Mia, and his two sisters.

Nizam Uddin further alleged that currently, the heir of the late Shafiqul Haque, Samchul Haque Gangra, is illegally constructing a house on the disputed land. It is illegal to construct any house before the disputed land is divided among the children of the late Mukim Mia.

Nizam Uddin further alleged that since Samchul Haque Gangra is influential, no one wants to interfere in his affairs.

Therefore, he is forcibly occupying their land and continuing the construction of multi-storey buildings. It is known that the locals have also not been able to provide any solution to the issue.

Expressed his opinion.
