Drug addict father Khokon Mia killed his child Mahid (7) by beating him with a bed sheet in Moulvibazar.

The incident took place on Sunday (February 16) evening in Jagannathpur village of Mostafapur union of Sadar upazila of Moulvibazar district.

Later, after receiving the news of the incident, Moulvibazar Model Police Station arrested the killer father.

According to local sources, the killer father Khokon got angry because the child Mahid defecated on the bed and brought him outside the house and started beating him severely. At one point, the child Mahid fled from there and took shelter in the house of neighbor Zabeda Khatun, from there he caught him again and threw him to the ground from above. After that, he held both the child Mahid’s legs and tried to push him against a concrete pillar, causing blood to flow from the child Mahid’s nose. At that time, the neighbor Jabeda Begum also failed to save the child. In such a situation, Khokon Mia, whose condition was critical, himself took the child Mahid to the Moulvibazar 250-bed General Hospital. Later, the doctor on duty there declared him dead.

Gazi Mahbubur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moulvibazar Model Police Station, said that Khokon Mia was arrested in a drive from the Jailgate area of ​​Sadar Upazila in the incident.
