Srimangal children’s park and public library freed from encroachment and demanded reform

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and Conscious Civic Society have held a human chain program demanding the illegal encroachment and reform of the Srimangal children’s park and public library in Moulvibazar.

Senior journalist Md. Kawsar Iqbal, Ismail Mahmud, Ahmed Farul Millad, poet Javed Bhuiyan, reciter Bikash Das Bappan, political leader Tuhin Chowdhury, teacher Fuad Islam, Dilwar Hossain of the Anti-Discrimination Student Organization, Niloy Rashid, Mozahidul Islam, Afzal Hossain, Hossain Mohammad Afzal, Farzana Naznin Nishi, dancer Deep Dutta Akash and Tamim, among others, spoke at the human chain program in front of the children’s park on College Road on Sunday (February 23) afternoon.

The speakers demanded that the children’s park be vacated within 48 hours. Otherwise, they will vacate the encroachment with the people of all walks of life in Srimangal. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).

Students from various educational institutions, teachers, cultural workers, journalists and people from different professions were present in the human chain.
