Bangla New Year 1432 was welcomed in Moulvibazar with a colorful procession and cultural events.

On Monday (April 14), the ‘Ananda Shuvajatra’ of Bengali New Year started from the District Shilpakala Academy at 10:30 am and ended at the Government High School grounds.

Organized by the district administration, the ‘Ananda Shuvajatra’ was attended by Deputy Commissioner Md. Israil Hossain, Superintendent of Police M,K,H Jahangir Hossain, leaders of various political parties and cultural organizations. Later, the guests visited the stalls on the occasion of Bengali New Year. Artists from Shilpakala Academy, JASAS, and Mousas performed songs and dances in the cultural program on the stage built in the school grounds.

Separately, a colorful ‘Ananda Shuvajatra’ was organized under the leadership of Moulvibazar District BNP convener Faizul Karim Mayun on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1432. Leaders of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present at the rally. In addition, Moulvibazar Municipality separately organized a cultural program on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1432 at the Mayor’s Square.
