Member of Bangladesh University Grant Commission (UGC) Professor Dr. Muhammad Alamgir has been given the chairmanship. This information was informed in an office order of the Ministry of Education on Tuesday.
It is said that until the next chairman is appointed to the vacancy of the chairman of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alamgir will serve as chairman in addition to his duties. This order will be deemed canceled immediately after the regular chairman is appointed.
Earlier, Alamgir was serving as acting chairman after Professor Kazi Shahidullah resigned from the post of chairman.
