Two mobile phone showrooms robbed in Moulvibazar, goods worth Tk 45 lakh looted

A daring robbery has taken place at two mobile phone company showrooms in Moulvibazar city. A gang of thieves broke the locks of the two showrooms and entered inside and looted goods worth about Tk 45 lakh.

On Saturday (May 24) morning, a group of 8/10 people broke the locks of the T S Plaza Market in the Kusumbagh area of ​​the city and entered the market and committed the theft.

Delwar Hossain, owner of mobile company VIVO, said that cash and mobile sets of Tk 25 lakh were looted from his showroom.

Shahadat Mia, owner of OPPO company, said that a gang of thieves took mobile sets of Tk 20 lakh from his showroom.

Delwar Hossain, a businessman at TS Plaza, said, “There has been a family dispute over the ownership of this market for a long time. A few days ago, one of the owners came with 20-25 thugs and broke the locks of the market shop. We complained to the police station about this, but the police did not take any action.”

Moulvibazar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Gazi Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the theft and said, “We have sent an officer to the spot after receiving the information about the theft and legal action will be taken in this regard.”
