Acting Chairman of BNP Tariq Rahman commented that the people of Bangladesh will decide who will form the government in the future.

He made this comment in a discussion meeting with the leaders and activists of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions on Saturday, according to a notification of BNP.

Warning the leaders and activists, Tariq Rahman said that the fall of dictatorship is the victory of the long movement of democracy-loving people. Dictatorship in the recent past was the visible oppressor of the masses and now its minions continue to conspire as an invisible force to question the victory of the masses. Invisible enemies are more dangerous than visible ones. We know the visible adversaries, we also know their attack patterns. But the invisible enemies are unknown, and everywhere their position and their tactics are hidden. Trinamool leaders and activists must be alert all the time to counter this conspiracy.

Expressing strong optimism, the Acting Chairman of BNP said that if the Trinamool keeps a watchful eye, no conspirator will be able to tarnish the reputation of the party, God willing. At the same time, Tariq Rahman instructed the Trinamool to be vigilant, united and extremely careful to resist all invisible and visible forces conspiring against the party.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of BNP’s 46th founding anniversary, Tariq Rahman said in a message sent to the media today that the time has come to bring democracy back from exile. The self-sacrifice of the martyrs in the one-and-a-half century long democratic movement will be worthwhile only if the rule of law, freedom of expression, press and judiciary can be ensured.

Tariq Rahman said, on the auspicious occasion of the foundation anniversary, let us pledge to make Bangladesh a stable and peaceful civil rights protection country free from all evil including persecution. May the hideous horrors like disappearances, assassinations, extrajudicial killings, demonization of women and children, terrorism, extortion, corruption, money laundering never happen again across the country. BNP’s main goal is to reduce the sufferings of the people by realizing their rights and protecting the independence and sovereignty of the country and re-establishing the system of multi-party democracy.
